FOB Santos as standard. CIF and DAP quoted on request; we do not pretend the freight is free.
60 kg jute with a GrainPro liner as standard. 30 kg vacuum for lots under 20 bags, 1,000 kg big bag for anything over 250.
One pallet — 18 bags of 60 kg. Below that the paperwork costs more than the coffee.
300 g pre-shipment sample free, anywhere. A 1 kg sample is US$ 40 including courier, credited against an order. We stopped giving those away in 2023.
14 – 21 days from signed contract to on board at Santos, outside December and January.
30% on contract, 70% against documents. We do not sell on open account to a buyer we have not shipped to before.
Differential over the ICE "C", fixed at the moment you fix it. We will quote a differential for the season; we will not quote an outright price a month forward, because that is a bet and not a price.
ECF or SCA contract, buyer's choice. Arbitration in London or New York accordingly.

One 60 kg bag is 132.277 lb, so the arithmetic is the differential plus the “C”, times that. The gap between 83.75 and 84.00 points is 45 US cents a pound — about US$ 60 a bag — which is why nobody in this trade rounds a cupping score up.
Not here, not under our name, not as a sideline. We grow it and we sell it green. Every farm that starts roasting starts competing with the people who buy from it, and we would rather have the buyers.
One of this season's nine lots cupped 83.75. It is on the traceability page with that number next to it and it went to the exchange at the commodity differential. It is honest coffee. It is not specialty coffee, and the difference is about 45 US cents a pound.
Two blocks — T08 Baixo and T09 Cafundó, 24.1 ha between them — have a CAR polygon that overlaps our neighbour's along the old boundary. The overlap is about 2.4 ha and it is a registry error from 2014, not a land dispute. Until the state reconciles it we will not make an EUDR declaration on coffee from those blocks, so they are sold outside the EU only.
If a lot says Quartzo it grew here, on the block named on the bag. In a short year that means we simply have less to sell, which has happened twice in the last decade.
We looked at it properly in 2019 and again in 2023. The audit and the annual fee came to more per hectare than the premium our buyers were actually willing to pay for the seal, and the things it would have made us change were things we had already done. We would rather publish what we pay and let you check it than buy a logo.
It is eleven weeks of the hardest physical work on the farm, on slopes up to 33 degrees, and it is over. The people who do it earn far more per day than the rural minimum and then it stops. We employ fourteen people all year and ninety-six in July, and we have not solved that.
Our rural registry number. Any buyer can check the polygon against the federal system, and two blocks of it are wrong — see the land page.
