Outcomes · 2023–2025

Live birth, per cycle started, by age.

Three definitions decide whether a success rate means anything: live birth rather than pregnancy, per cycle started rather than per transfer, and own eggs rather than blended with donor cycles. All three are stated here, and the denominator is printed beside every percentage.

Under 3030–3435–3738–4041–4243 and over

The band where waiting a year genuinely costs you. If you are 36 and considering a delay, this is the conversation to have now.

Cumulative, three cycles

The number that matters when you are budgeting, because almost nobody succeeds on cycle one alone. 37% of people in this band do not take a baby home after three cycles with their own eggs.

  • —Live birth, not pregnancy. A positive test is not the outcome you came for.
  • —Per cycle STARTED, not per embryo transfer — cycles cancelled before retrieval are counted as failures, because to you they were.
  • —Own eggs only. Donor-egg outcomes are listed separately and are much higher; blending them is the most common way a clinic inflates a number.
  • —Cycles started January 2023 to December 2025, reported to the National ART Registry.

Reading it honestly

What each band means in practice.

Under 30

46%

per cycle · 79% after three · n=118

The best odds we can offer, and the group most often over-treated elsewhere. Many people in this band should try IUI or nothing at all first.

30–34

41%

per cycle · 75% after three · n=254

Our largest group. Three quarters take a baby home within three cycles, which also means one in four does not.

35–37

31%

per cycle · 63% after three · n=196

The band where waiting a year genuinely costs you. If you are 36 and considering a delay, this is the conversation to have now.

38–40

19%

per cycle · 43% after three · n=143

Egg quality, not the uterus, is the constraint. PGT-A helps you stop sooner rather than succeed more often.

41–42

9%

per cycle · 23% after three · n=87

We will still treat you, and we will say at the first consultation that fewer than one in four of you will go home with a baby using your own eggs.

43 and over

3%

per cycle · 8% after three · n=41

Eight per cent after three cycles, at roughly ₹9 lakh of treatment. Most clinics take this booking without saying that sentence. We say it before you pay.
