[safety_record]calendar year 2025

Two lost-time injuries. Both described.

A hand laceration and a fall from 1.4 metres, across 4.18 million man-hours on six sites. Investigation reports are available to clients on request, which is the test of whether a safety page means anything.

LTIFR, 20250.41

Lost-time injuries per million man-hours. The UAE construction average sits nearer 1.2, and any contractor claiming 0.00 across 3 million hours is not reporting

We want this number HIGH. A site reporting no near misses is a site where nobody reports

01

We do not hold passports

Not one, not for a day, not 'for safekeeping'. It is illegal under UAE law and it happens anyway across this industry. Every worker on an ARKAN site holds their own documents, and any subcontractor found doing otherwise is off the site the same week.

02

Wages via WPS, on time, every month

Salaries are paid through the Wage Protection System by the 5th. Our worst month in three years was the 7th, after a bank holiday clash, and we told the workforce before they had to ask.

03

Accommodation we would show you unannounced

Four to a room, air-conditioned, with a kitchen and a laundry. Clients are welcome to visit the accommodation without notice — the offer is on this page precisely so it can be taken up.

04

Summer midday break, properly

No work between 12:30 and 15:00 from 15 June to 15 September, as the law requires. Enforced with a signed site register, because the rule is widely broken in the last week of September when programmes slip.

05

Recruitment fees are ours, not theirs

A worker who paid an agent in Kerala to get here starts in debt and cannot refuse anything. We reimburse documented recruitment fees at mobilisation. It costs about AED 2,400 per worker and it is the single most effective welfare measure we run.
